ASANA

ROOTED IN FOUNDATION; RISING TO THE OCCASION

Core 26

Core 26 is a beginner level class created for total body health, done in a room heated to 105 degrees. It works to tone the muscles of the body, strengthen the joints, and create freedom in connective tissue which will result in greater agility and flexibility. Your heart rate will rise by design, providing a cardiovascular workout for your arteries. This can also be done while maintaining long, steady breaths through the nose, which allows the nervous system to remain calm and teaches your body how to handle "off the mat" stress more gracefully. This class is appropriate for people of all ages, body types, and levels of experience, including those with injuries who are looking to heal the body.

Hot Vinyasa Flow

A vinyasa class is a moving meditation. Synchronizing movement, internally and externally, with one's breath, the intention of the class is to place in a special way, one's body, breath, and being in an asana practice. A focus on the integrity of the breath, alignment, and proper modifications and variations are integral to each class so that a vinyasa practice can be accessible for a range of practitioners. Because it is not a one-size-fits-all practice, it is common for practitioners to be doing different expressions of an asana in a vinyasa class. Each class is intelligently sequenced so that each posture prepares the practitioner for the next.

Forrest-Inspired Flow

This class is inspired by the powerful teachings of Ana Forrest, who weaves psychology, philosophy, spirituality and neuroscience into a tremendously effective strength-building and body-opening asana sequence.  We make use of longer hold times and directed breath in postures to truly absorb the “medicine” of these postures.  These flows intentionally build strength in your core and shoulders, freedom in your hips, length in your lower back, and more space in your body for your breath.  Class is heated 95-100 degrees. Props are required! (Even if you’re not a prop person, we use them in highly specific ways for strengthening and opening.) Bring your Forrest Yoga roll, one block and one strap to every class.  You can make your own roll at home using an old yoga mat or a big towel (check out the instructional video on social media).

Buti Yoga

Buti classes are essentially a fusion of yoga, dance, cardio, and targeted strength training. They utilize spiral structure technique to facilitate the
release + toning of the body--physical, emotional and energetic. Through primal movement, dynamic asana and cardio-sprints, students break down the emotional barriers that hold them back from achieving self-love and true human connection. Music guides our classes like an internal GPS. The beat blended movement forces you out of your head and into your body. It is in this magical place that you integrate your human experience instead of escaping it. All formats incorporate elements of shaking + vibration to help release stored trauma and stimulate cellular reorganization. These are non-heated or lightly heated classes but you will certainly sweat!
