Dearest Wild Lights,
We can’t tell you how thrilled we are to be able to reopen the studio on Monday, May 18th! We’ve missed you all terribly and can’t wait to see your shining faces in the coming weeks. We have been working around the clock for the last few days putting together our schedule, safety and cleaning protocols so that we can ensure your wellbeing upon your return. Here’s what you can expect…
First and foremost, please do not attend class if you have any symptoms of illness. More specifically, if you have had a cough, fever, shortness of breath, or been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please stay at home. If you have been ill, wait until your fever has been resolved without medication for at least 72 hours before coming in. If you have had contact with someone sick or who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, wait 14 days before coming in. Our teachers will do the same.
We will operate with a slightly reduced schedule for the next two weeks and then adjust in June as necessary, hopefully to add classes. Our studio Zoom classes will be cancelled through the rest of May, and then starting in June we will add live virtual classes to our studio offerings and a YouTube library of recorded classes for members. The schedule for the next two weeks is below.
We can have 16 people in each class with mats spaced at least 6 feet apart in all directions. There are taped spots on the floor where your mats will go. We are requiring paid pre-registration for class and this is a big change for those of you who haven’t needed to register online prior to coming to class before. If you do not have an online login please email jess@wildlightyogacenter.com and we’ll get you one asap. Because of the limited space in each class, you must cancel your reservation 2 hours prior to class or we will charge a $10 fee. If you know you can’t make it to class, please cancel as soon as possible to free up a slot for someone else.
We will open the studio doors 15 minutes prior to each class and ask that you please remain in your vehicle until that time. There will be taped spots outside where you can line up to come in one at a time and the main studio door will be propped open. The teacher will be wearing a mask before and after class and they will check you in at the desk but there will be no pen and paper sign-in. You are not required to wear a mask because we can maintain a distance of 6 feet at all times, but you are more than welcome to do so.
We ask that you bring in only what you need for class – car keys, wallet, water, mat and towel – and leave everything else in your car. If you’re biking, try to bring only what you need. We are unable to store your bike in the studio if you forget your lock.
We can have 3 people in the women-identified changing room at a time and 2 people in the men-identified changing room. Spots will be marked on the floor for the bathroom line. We ask that you make your way to your spot in the yoga room as efficiently as possible. Please be quick in the changing room and bathrooms so everyone gets their needs met, and we ask that you respectfully wait outside the changing room at a safe distance if it is already full when you arrive.
We are unable to rent out any mats and towels so please bring your own for class. We will also not be using any studio props, but feel free to bring your own blocks or strap. Bathrooms will be open in both changing rooms but showers are closed.
Doors will be open for 15 minutes after class ends, and we invite you to exit the hot room one at a time and make your way outside to socialize at a safe distance. The main studio door will be propped open again after class. We will have a minimum of 45 minutes between classes to allow for everyone to enter and exit safely, and to give us time for cleaning in between.
Every touch surface in the studio will be sanitized after each class and the studio will receive a deep clean every night.
There will be posted signs around the studio to remind you of all of this. We know, it’s a lot, and we also want to keep you as safe as possible.
Lotus memberships will be reinstated at a pro-rated amount for the remainder of May, and all class cards, unlimited and annual packages will be extended by 2 months, which was the duration of our closure. We realize that some of you may not yet be comfortable venturing out into the world or have circumstances that prevent you from doing so. If this is the case please email Alaina at memberships@wildlightyogacenter.comand let us know about your circumstances so we can work with you.
